  • Re: MenuExtensions, etc.

Tnx for the reply.  Not sure if it's related but I'm also getting some intermittent exceptions when a calender item is selected & the main menu is used, or when the calendar card menu is used (before the event in my app is fired).  Sometimes the event in my app still fires after the exception. The reason I asked about the popup menu ...
  • Re: MenuExtensions, etc.

Tnx - looking forward to the new build :) As for #4, I do dispose of the MenuExtension.  It adds two items to the menu (even if I start with a fresh copy of the emulator), and the dispose removes both items again.  I'm using the WM 5.0 emulator. Tnx for the tip about EnableApplicationLauncher - that works great.  Just a question ...
  • MenuExtensions, etc.

I've installed the Windows Mobile 5.0 SDK & the latest version (SP2) of the mobile inthehand components.  Here are my observations & questions.  I'm deploying to the WM 5.0 emulator: 1.   The code completion is still very slow. 2.  The cab file now deploys automatically. 3.  The sample crashes on start of run on ...
  • Re: similar problems with sp1

Tnx for the reply.  No, there's nothing under Remove Programs - thought it might have been deployed by Visual Studio, but obviously not.  I'll install it manually & check if it works (the device is an HP iPAQ hw6915). As for my other problems (code completion & sample not working) - how do I know if I have the Windows Mobile 5.0 ...
  • :(

Ah, this is very disappointing :(  Still no answers to any of my posts - no ''you're doing it wrong'' or ''there does seem to be a problem'' or ''we're looking into it'', just silence.  No solution in sight, no chance of me delivering my software on time, money wasted - very disappointing ...
  • similar problems with sp1

Hi, even though my previous posts remain unanswered, I'll try another one :) I've uninstalled sp2 & installed sp1 of the mobile inthehand components.  As previously, sample still does not work, and code-completion slows down to a crawl (in fact sometimes it hangs).  Exact same problems on two different machines I ried.  Now if ...
  • problems with version 2.1.60828.7

Hi, I just bought the latest version of the Mobile In The Hand components, and am having major problems with it.  I've installed it on two different machines & get the same results.  Running Visual Studio 2005 on both. First problem is I can't open the sample.  Getting the following errors: ''Error retrieving information ...
  • Re: PimCommand event not called

Tnx!  So basically you're saying if I upgrade to the latest version I should be able to get the ContextMenu functionality working on this PDA?
  • Re: PimCommand event not called

Any suggestions for me on this? Tnx, Pieter
  • Re: PimCommand event not called

It's an HP iPAQ hw6915.  However the same is happening when I try the emulator.  I'm using Visual Studio 2005, compact framework 2.0. As an aside, I don't quite understand how the renamed CePimCommand.dll knows about my exe when it's not running.  If it's running, I can see that the AddCePimCommand method links ...
