The classes in this library are not specific to a particular network type so you can use FTP over any TCP/IP connection - WiFi, GPRS, ActiveSync etc.

    Re: Wifi Communication

Hello, My name is Nuno Martins I'm from Portugal and I'm a Microsoft Student Partner.

I am trying to develop a windows mobile application using in the hand components, that permits to control the activation of bluetooth and wifi interfaces. Then I saw the sample wireless manager that you have created.

    So my question is:

how can I control the range of wifi or bluetooth interface?

I'm trying to implement the DTN (Delay Transfer Network) protocol, so I need to minimize the range of wifi and bluetooth. Do you have in your components any class that permits to me to alter the signal range?

     Thank you,

    Nuno Martins

There isn't a standard way that I know of to adjust the power level of either WiFi or Bluetooth, if you have a specific adapter which supports this it would be a proprietary function and you'd need to refer to an SDK available for the adapter.
