hi everybody - i am new here in this forum.

since 2 days i am an (un)lucky owner of the tomtom sdk version 6.031. i wrote an application for wm6 and now i want to integrate "only" 2 functions. NavigateToCoordinates(latlong) and NavigateToAddress(adress).

my experiences with c++ are very basic

my configuration

vista business 64 bit
visual studio 2008
compact framework 3.5
tomtom sdk 6.031
tomtom version 6.030 (8320)

if i use the "ExampleManual" of the tomtom sdk in vs2008 i get the window with 3 buttons and if i press one of the buttons tomtom is starting...
but nothing more - the application is hanging.

my questions:
has anyone tried to work with this configuration above ?
is it possible to buy only these two functions (NavigateToCoordinates(latlong) and NavigateToAddress(adress)) ?

I'm afraid I can't advise on the TomTom SDK C++ samples. Our product is a .NET Compact Framework API around TomTom which supports your platform. There is no partial implementation for those two functions but our product is very reasonably priced with royalty free distribution.

i understand - and after 3 days without success i am going to buy your wrapper.

but what can i do if this is not working with my configuration? how does your wrapper work - what are the prerequisites? is there an installation handbook?

hi peter - it works fine thanks . the only thing that not work is the installation in windows vista. so i had to install in windows xp and take the InTheHand.TomTom.dll to my vista system. now it works in vs2008 with cf 3.5
